Bunny was, as always, warm and welcoming. She makes us feel like family. She has a very comfortable queen bed, as well a nice double bed in the second room. I love the big pillows and down comforter. Buttercup is always bright, sunny, and very clean throughout. Bunny supplies a very generous amount of food including homebaked goodies, fruit, cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee. We have stayed at Buttercup four times and will be back again many more times!
The hostess was so welcoming and friendly. She showed us around the apartment and chatted for a bit with us making us feel at home. The rooms were cheerful and cozy with lots of personal touches that made Buttercup a real home-away-from-home. There were plenty of towels, the beds were comfortable, the rooms bright—looking out on a tree-lined street. Everything was clean and well organized. We enjoyed our breakfasts in the cute little nook off of the kitchen. Buttercup's location, so close to the mall and lovely Charlottesville neighborhoods, was a treat. Bunny did a wonderful job making our stay special. We contacted Guesthouses close to when we were heading down to Charlottesville; we were pleased to have accommodations found for us so quickly and so perfectly. Thanks!” —CH 04/12
From our host's preliminary phone call to give us directions and ask about food allergies, we felt so welcomed and well-treated! The accommodations were most comfortable and well-appointed. I can't think of anything we would have wanted that wasn't provided already. Breakfast was a feast of fruit, cereals, muffins, gingerbread, coffee, teas, yogurts, milk, cream, and jam! We were thrilled with our choice and hope to have another opportunity to stay at Buttercup. Thank you for arranging this wonderful place for us during a very busy time of year! We appreciated your courtesy and efficiency. —LM 05/12
We had a marvelous stay with help from our hostess. From her preliminary phone call to give us directions and ask about food allergies we felt so welcomed and well-treated! The accommodations were most comfortable and well-appointed. I can't think of anything we would have wanted that was not provided already. The cleanliness was spotless. Because of the location, we were able to slip in and out of the downtown area effortlessly. We were thrilled with our choice and hope to have another opportunity to stay at Buttercup. We appreciated Guesthouses’ courtesy and efficiency. I cannot thank you enough for your help in making these arrangements. —TH&LM 05/12
Staying at the Buttercup was wonderful! Our hostess is a lovely lady and very thoughtful. Her taste in decorating the apartment is spot-on. The accommodations were just what we wanted - all the comforts of home without the headaches! We had communicated in advance so our hostess was aware of our dietary requests (gluten and lactose-free) and she prepared some fabulous GF muffins and brownies, we had yogurt, eggs, bread for toast and a big bowl of fresh fruit, plenty of tea and coffee - she even filled the ice cube trays in advance. We felt very comfortable staying and recommend it to anyone - it is a nice, quiet and safe neighborhood that was an easy walk to the downtown mall, with plenty of room to relax - the weather was perfect for sitting on the front porch with a glass of wine in the evening. Plenty of towels were provided - everything was spotless - there were Kleenex boxes in every room to help with my spring-time allergies! The kitchen was well equipped in case we wanted to stay in and cook. —EB 04/14
